"Debbie,
Molly's picture came Friday and Judi and I love it. You captured her personality and made her come alive. A funny story. While I was unpacking the picture Molly was watching me. When I finished and showed her the picture she looked at it and then barked. She likes it also.
Thanks for a great job.

Michael & Lori Bishop,
Hendersonville, TN
"We adopted Ashley as a puppy from the shelter. She didn't bark as we passed her cage. She just looked up with those adoring little eyes and we were hooked. We lost Ashley last year after a long illness but had ten wonderful years with her as a devoted companion. Debbie's painting captures her spirit so vividly! I can't think of a better way to honor and remember our Ashley Girl!
Thanks Debbie!"

"John and I are thrilled with our painting of "our boys", Rudy and Roy. Debbie captured their Basset hound expressions with her awesome talent. Debbie also painted our beloved Rusty which we consider one of her masterpieces. These paintings are our most cherished possessions and have endeared Debbie's love of animals, enthusiastic personality and dear friendship to us for the rest of our lives."

Karma, a Karelian Bear dog is in the private collection of Stacy and Chris Coughlin of Germantown, TN.
"When I think of Karma this is what I picture. She is mischevious, playful and aloof; however, she will cuddle up with Stacy when she wants attention. I think she is like a cat in this way. Debbie has portrayed her perfectly. This is what she looks like when she wants to play, the big old smile and the slight tilt of her head taunting you to try to catch her. We are thrilled with how this painting turned out."

I never personally got to meet Fred as he had already gone to Rainbow Bridge two years before his mom, Joyce Yeager, commissioned me to paint his portrait for her husband's birthday. Hit by a car and was given up because he was going to be too costly to save, basset rescue volunteers, Joyce and Jason stepped in to save Fred's life and give him a new home and family. Fred is the only one of my portrait babies who has his own website, I invite you to meet Fred, his family and thank the thousands of volunteers who tirelessly help abused and abandoned animals find a loving home.

I name all my paintings as I think they deserve to have a real name, and I always thought Hinkel was cute for a schnauzer. My aunt and uncle's schnauzer was named Hinkel and he was the love of their life. Next to labs, I've painted schnauzers more than any other dog. There is a definite love for this breed, and I'm always so surprised at how different they look. I'm partial to the floppy ears, but the traditional cropped ear is the choice for most schnauzer owners.

Lilli, is beautiful fawn, colored shar pei whose portrait was commissioned by Lesley as a Christmas present for her husband, Sam. Since this is Lesley and Sam's only child, I had a wealth of photographs from which to choose and it was quite obvious Lilli is, well......just not any dog. She even has her own personalized "thank you" notes, trimmed in "pink," of course. It's always great fun working with parents who love their pets as much as Lesley and Sam do. This painting is in the private collection of Lesley and Sam Marks of Memphis, TN.

This was a commission piece done for Susan and John Haubold in Jackson, Tennessee. Of all the commission's I've done, this one was one of the hardest. Rusty was only 4 years old when he accidentally strangled himself with his link collar. I must have painted Rusty 3 or 4 times before I felt I finally captured him. When Susan saw his portrait for the first time, we all cried because, like all our pets, they really are our babies.

This terrier looks like a Boston terrier, but he's actually a Pit bull. The Pit bull's reputation, much like a Rotweiller and Doberman, get a lot of negative press. Since he reminded me of Valentino wearing a tuxedo, I added a bow tie to make this dog look elegant, debonair and happy.
