This painting was a commission for Matt LeJeune as a birthday present from his dad. Falstaff, a large male Doberman was one handsome dog and even though he’s twelve years old with his eye sight slowly leaving him, his devotion and protection towards Matt was a job he still took very seriously. Falstaff’s personality is somewhat stoic but sweet natured and that’s what I wanted to capture in his portrait. Falstaff and Matt now live in Atlanta, GA
