Debbie Taylor wanted a Christmas present for her brother, Jim Dye, who loved to hunt with his big, yellow lab, Scout. Having done several other paintings for Debbie, she couldn’t think of anything Jim would love better than to have a painting done of his best buddy doing what he loved to do. Capturing Scout retrieving ducks is how Debbie thought her brother would always want to remember his hunting partner. One day when the years of time caused Scout to prefer the inside of their cabin to the water, Jim’s painting of Scout will always remind them of their great days together.oil on canvas
