Boudreux also known as Buddy is a Newfoundland mix abandoned by his owner after he went to jail. Left tied up outside without adequate shelter, concerned neighbors reported him when they discovered icicles hanging from his body. Someone from Sunny Meadows Safe Haven just happened to be at the pound and decided to take him to their shelter’s location. Boudreux’s sweet nature made him a perfect ambassador for Sunny Meadows visiting Red Bird’s games, children’s parties and adoption days. Because of his size and age he was never adopted until the wonderful Cox family decided it was time for Boudreux to have a real family and home. Boudreux’s painting was a Christmas present to Lori from Jim who fondly refers to him as their big, sweet baby whose greatest joy in life is a ride in the car.
