This painting was a commission for Karen and Mack Warr of Memphis, TN. Mack wanted the painting called “The Boys,” since that’s what he and Karen call their seven year old hunting buddies. When I went to the Warr’s home to take the boy’s picture, it was pretty evident that Jake, the chocolate lab was the alpha pup and Jack, the black, the omega. Mack also wanted his beloved 1959 Chevy in the painting which I thought would make an interesting composition. I added the duck decoy and entered.acrylic on canvas
